While no longer the head of Parker Industries (which was dismantled), Peter did have himself a nice job as The Daily Bugle's science editor. In Amazing Spider-Man #1, written by Nick Spencer with art by Ryan Ottley, Spider-Man is going back to basics, though he'd probably prefer it if he weren't. Why? Because it directly involves major supervillain Doctor Doom. However, the particular installment of Call of Duty that Myers is playing seems like it would be pretty problematic. He's also a pretty hardcore gamer, playing Call of Duty, which confirms its existence in the Marvel Universe.
Not only is Fred super messy and loud, but he's also the supervillain known as Boomerang. In the most recent Amazing Spider-Manseries, Peter Parker has a pretty annoying roommate by the name of Fred Myers.
